Queen City Rotary Club Presents
2017 Queen City Spooky Quest & Trivia Night

Manchester, NH:   (August 22, 2017)   As part of its ongoing mission to support youth in need across greater Manchester, the Queen City Rotary Club proudly announces its fall fund raiser- The Queen City Spooky Quest & Trivia Night.

Saturday, October 28, 2017 @ 4:00 p.m.
St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral
650 Hanover Street, Manchester

“The Quest is a wonderful part of our legacy,” said Monique Ruth, President, Queen City Rotary Club.  “And as with all of our efforts, 100% of the proceeds directly benefit youth across the community.”

Formally known as the Queen City Road Rally, the Quest is a scavenger hunt on wheels, according to Ms. Ruth.  “Teams compete against each other to figure out clues and puzzles to find their next destination in the quickest time with the most correct answers.  It’s also a neat way to explore Manchester and its history and with the event so close to Halloween, it will definitely reflect the spirit of the season.”

Ms. Ruth noted that the Quest has been held for more than 30 years and that many teams return each year to take part.  “Old and new teams alike love the challenge,” she said.

And what is the key to a successful Quest?

“Puzzle solving skills, a good imagination, a vehicle to navigate through Manchester and most of all…a sense of humor,” said Rotarian Monica Labonville, who along with Lisa Lally, head the Quest Planning Committee.  “Also, we are encouraging Quest teams to get into the Halloween spirit and dress in costume.  We’ll have a special prize for the most creative costumes.”

Not only do ‘Questers’ have fun and learn more about Manchester, they are also supporting our local youth community,” Ms. Labonville added.  She noted that all proceeds benefit Greater Manchester youth organizations.  “Our club was thrilled to support more than 40 organizations this past spring dispersing over $50,000 in grants.  Helping kids in need is at the heart of our Club’s mission and the annual Quest is one way we support that.”

The cost to participate is $120 per car and early registration deadline is October 21 ($140 after the 21st!).  Registration includes the Quest, post-event buffet dinner, prizes, silent auction, raffles and a trivia contest hosted by John Clayton, former NH Union Leader Columnist and Executive Director, Manchester Historic Association.  The club is also making tickets available ($20 in advance, $25 at the door) if someone only wants to attend dinner and the Trivia Contest
