Come join the Queen City Rotary in the 5th Annual Bed Race
Sunday, June 27, 2009 from noon to 4 P.M.

What is Bed Racing?
It's easy and exciting. You take four Runners to push the bed, with the 5th Team Member riding on it. Once at the starting line and with the Runners positioned at each corner of the bed, the official gives the signal, and they're off! The race can be an obstacle course, a challenge against another team, or some combination.

The proceeds of the race are used to assist charities benefiting children in the community. Contact a Queen City Rotarian for more information.

Building a bed is easy. It must have four wheels and a mattress. See a race flier for the regulations. Use your imagination when decorating your bed and getting team members involved in costumes. Prizes are awarded for creativity, so have fun with it.

2008 Queen City Rotary Bed Race Wrap-Up

The 2008 Bed Race was a terrific success, with Racers pushing their beds around the cones and back in an all-out demonstration of speed. It featured local business, school, and non-profit Teams competing as part of the Air Show at Arms Park on Memorial Day weekend. Once again, by managing our costs, we were able to donate over $6,400, raised with the support of our bed sponsors and raffles.
