RULES
Four people per car · First car in, with the most correct answers in the allotted time, wins · Decision of the Rally judges is final · Participants without a sense of humor will be disqualified.

ENTRY FEE
$100 per car. The best fun-per-dollar value this fall! Includes prizes, four lifeline clues, post-Rally meal and lots of fun (maximum of 4 players per car).

STARTING LOCATION
PSNH Upper Parking Lot, 780 Commercial Street, Manchester, NH.

SUGGESTED SUPPLIES
Comfortable footwear & clothing, flashlights, batteries, Arrow OR American Map of Manchester, compass, sense of humor, paper, pencils, dictionary, phone book, and any other reference materials that occur to you. The more the better. Load up that trunk.

RECOMMENDED SKILLS
Word game solving, imagination, sense of humor & navigation.

IT CAN'T HURT
Snacks, lucky items, lifelong residents of Manchester, willingness to be in dark places, bravado (real or imagined), chutzpah, knock-knock jokes to distract other teams and plenty of excuses.

2008 Road Rally Wrap-Up

The Queen City Rotary Club held its 27th annual Road Rally on Saturday October 18, 2008. Forty cars in teams of four left the PSNH parking lot at 6:30 PM and spent the next three and a half hours solving puzzles, finding clues, and scouring the greater Manchester area in search of answers.

The event is a modified scavenger hunt. Contestants are challenged by ten puzzles each of which directs them to a location where some obscure piece of information must be found before moving on to the next. Teams are scored by the most correct answers in the shortest possible time. This year's winner had nine out of ten correct answers in just over three hours. The event concluded at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Manchester where the participants congregated for food, drink, answers, prizes, and fellowship. A good time was had by all.

The Road Rally is the Club's annual fall fund-raiser. We actively solicit prizes and sponsorships. All proceeds assist local child-oriented charities and organizations in the greater Manchester area with holiday-related and seasonal needs. This year's event raised nearly $7000.
