2009 Paul Harris Award Recipients

The Paul Harris Fellowship Award is one of the highest honors Rotary can bestow upon a person. Recipients are Rotarians and community professionals in recognition of their outstanding contributions, exemplifying the highest ideal in Rotary in placing "Service Above Self". This honor accompanies a donation of $1000. or more, in the recipients name, to Rotary International's "Annual Program Fund", which supports Rotary's Worldwide program's. The Paul Harris Fellowship Society is named after Paul P. Harris, founder of Rotary International, which dates back to 1905.

On June 25th, 2009, the Queen City Rotary presented Mr. Thomas DeBlois, a member of the Queen City Rotary and lifelong Manchester resident with this award.

On July 1, 2009, the Queen City Rotary presented a second award to Mr. Stephen Singer of Dunbarton, NH, for his outstanding service to youth charities and organizations in the Greater Manchester area.

The Queen City Rotary meets every Thursday at the Puritan Backroom at 7:30am, the general public are welcomed guests.
