At the May 27th breakfast meeting, the Queen City Rotary awarded Vanessa Rodanas of Bedford, NH the 2010 Ken Wakefield Community Service Award.   Vanessa earned this award by spending much of her time volunteering for organizations such as Families in Transition, Making It Happen and the Bedford Presbyterian Youth Fellowship program, among others.  In 2008 she founded Get Real Foundation, where Educate - Innovate - Participate is her motto.  She plans to use her scholarship attending Cornell University. 

Ken Wakefield was the Queen City Rotary's founding father.   The Queen City Rotary meets weekly, Thursday, 7:30am at the Puritan Backroom.  Anyone can attend the meetings.
